AI&BS&AI&MOREBS
Often, people will twist themselves into pretzels to unabashedly defend the largest tech companies on planet earth, while regurgitating the lies of C-Suite soulless capitalist’s.
In effect, it becomes an adapt or die mentality and when these conversations continue in the often same direction they often do, and these people can’t, won’t, or are at minimum unwilling to even feign empathy within communities like forums for creatives and the like.
It makes me wonder where their interests are in these situations.
I’m sure some lie to themselves and others that it’s in the spirit of debate and to hear differing opinion than their own… but rarely, if ever, does that actually happen.
When ends up transpiring is the more empathetic of the debaters to accept the, often, extreme views of the other, and often in AI talks, it isn’t hard to know where the more empathetic ones stances are likely to be.
Putting the lack of empathy these pro-AI stances inherently are, the lack of accepting factually that this race towards the bottom is a waste of energy, water, and finite resources our earth has.. and lest we forget that these companies steal from humans breaking copyright law and even when caught they still don’t provide attribution or residuals, and all for what? Profits. So they can fire everyone and then we all can physically work in some badly generated ai wonderland dystopia?
So these people, the un empathetic’s useful launders - the realists I’m sure they’d more likely call themselves, pragmatic even or whatever buzzword they identify for themselves, what really is at the core is that they’re incapable of self-reflection. They’d rather have negative interactions online, and more likely than not, in their own personal life, than even take one minute of their own limited time on earth to connect with real humans.
They’d rather connect with an AI.
